I'm forwarding this from Dorothy & Shane and family. Thank you for keeping them all lifted up; especially with their requests mentioned below in your hearts. God bless you and your families, Teri & Michael (see below)
Hi Teri & Michael –
Thanks for following up on us. Kate continues to make small steps in the right direction, her speech has improved tremendously although she still struggles with many words and concepts, some days worse than others. She mostly eats normally now, although the feeding tube will remain until she has officially passed a swallow test. Our biggest concern is that there are some uncertainties regarding her long-term care, and the uncertainty, the sense of powerlessness, and the constant worry that she is imposing a burden upon her family have caused Kate to suffer bouts of depression. If everyone could pray for her comfort and peace of mind, as well as continued healing, it would mean the world to us.
Also I am sorry to report that James M. Snoke, my grandfather (my dad's father) passed away early in the morning on March 17th. I'm writing this from our hotel room in Lancaster, Ohio where we just spent several days with the family celebrating his life. He was the family patria rch, we were all very close to him and his absence will be sorely felt for years to come. Please ask the Prayer Warriors to pray for his repose, for comfort and solace for my family, and to pray in general for my grandmother, Bernadette, who is without her companion of 64 years.
Irene and Michelle have been visiting Kate in our absence (and many times before as well!) for which we are very grateful.
God Bless you for your ministry and friendship!
Love,
Shane, Dorothy, & Scarlett Rose
