Prayer Request: Thank you from Gloria - GET ON THE BUS

This is from Gloria, and is an update from a previous request (included at the end). Thank you for your continued prayers for all concerned and God bless you and your loved ones, Teri & Michael (see below)

 

Thank you Michael, Teri and Vikki.

 

The trip went well we made good time.  We were there 1 hour early even though we had delays on the 5 freeway because of the fires.

 

I want to thank you Mike Teri, Vikki and the prayer warriors for all your prayers.  I want to ask you to continue praying for the children of these inmates. They are wonderful kids, they spent 6 hours with their fathers and you could see in their eyes the love these children have for their fathers.  They spent the 6 hours talking to them, having lunch (pizza), buying food for their father from the vending machine.  It is a wonderful experience.  These kids are well behaved and I think the mothers and family are doing a good job. Also continue praying for the mothers, as some of the kids will soon  become teenagers.  The group I took this time were under 12 years old.  I could see the fathers talking to the older kids probably giving them advice. 

 

Some of the inmates will be out this year.  Some still have 6 to 8 years to go. 

 

I want to thank you all for the support, and all the donations to this great program.  And the Volunteers that came to help on Friday.  You make it easy for me.  Thank you and may GOD BLESS YOU  for all your LOVE AND SUPPORT.

 

One thing I will like to say If you always donate or you will like to donate to the GET ON THE BUS PROJECT always put ST. AGATHA'S CHURCH on your donation.  That way the donation will go to help pay for the St. Agatha bus.  Last year was the first time we went to Folsom prison.  We had one bus.   This year there were 3 buses.  One came from San Diego and made stops along the way. The other one from Long beach and made many stops, and the bus from St. Agatha made no stops, Thank God.  Smile

This is from Vikki Rodriguez for Gloria Walker. Thank you for keeping her and all the kids & moms on the bus lifted up in your prayers for their safe journey to and from Folsom State Prison this weekend. We are very supportive of St Agatha's involvement in this program to unite children with their fathers who are in prison. Get On The Bus brings children and their mothers together as well.   Hello Prayer Warriors.. I am requesting a prayer for our dear friend Gloria   Walker. Tonight she is taking over 30 kids and their Moms to Folsom Prison. It   is an overnight trip and they are traveling by bus. The program is called "Get   on the Bus". Teri, Michael and Prayer Warriors thank you for always being there.
