Prayer Request from Marcus: Prayers for my friend Deems

Hello Mike and Teri,

Blessings as always. This is a prayer request for one of my closest 'mates', my brother-from-another-mother, Deems. He's going through a rough, rock-bottom season: recent breakup, health issues, loss of employment and an at-fault accident where he totaled his car. I've never heard him or experienced him being so "down" before. Today I actually feared him going into deep depression.

Deems also comes from a strong foundation of faith. His 83 yr old father recently suffered a severe fall this past summer. Miraculously (but not surprisingly), and thanks to the prayers of many faithful loved ones (including our Mighty Prayer Warriors), Deems Sr. is back home, of sound mind and 85% restored to full health.

There is definitely spiritual war fare going on in my friend's life at the moment. Suffice it to say that my prayers for and with him now need to be amped up to the next level.

PRAYER for HEALING THE SPIRIT from DEPRESSION

Gentle Jesus, with faith in Your healing powers and confidence in Your constant compassion, we ask You to heal a suffering spirit. May their soul find rest in Your comforting love and relief from sorrow and anguish. Relying on Your love, we especially ask Your help in healing their depression. We place our trust in Your power to heal their spirit from feelings of hopelessness, unrest, and despair. Amen.

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do You, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls.
