Prayer Request Update / Praise Report from Laura Leigh Hughes: Mr. Bensie Smith

Please give pass along my gratitude for the prayers for our neighbor/friend Mr. Smith.  Spoke with him today and the surgery went pretty well. So appreciate the prayers.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

O God, of Whose mercies there is no number, and of Whose goodness the treasure is infinite; we render thanks to Your most gracious majesty for the gifts You have bestowed upon us, evermore beseeching Your clemency, that as You grant the petitions of them that ask You, You will never forsake them, but will prepare for the reward to come. Through Christ our Lord.  Amen.

dear prayer group,

I would like to request prayers for my elderly neighbor friend Mr. Smith. he came to church with us once a while back. sweet sweet man who is dealing with prostate and stomach cancer and also had to have a pace maker put in a bit ago. he had surgery this morning on his stomach for the cancer. they don't know how much of the stomach they will have to take out- some or all. he has been through so many challenges and still remains positive and in faith. but i know how much he struggles. he has no family out here so my family fills in where we can. please keep him in your prayers that his surgery goes well and that he has restored good health and strength. also- pray that resources get worked out for his after care at home. he lives alone and at this time doesn't have anyone set up to care for him!!! navigating his medical care has been daunting as he has been weak from chemo for the past year.

Prayer for Surgery

Loving Father, we entrust Mr. Bensie Smith to Your care; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in Your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, he may be restored to soundness of health and live in perfect harmony with You and with those around him. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.

PRAYER FOR MIRACLES & HEALING

Heavenly Father, I trust in Your great love for me and all Your people. I ask You to unleash a wave of miracles and healing throughout Your church through the prayers of Your people. Touch the sick and the suffering, and restore them to wholeness and well-being. Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace to pray with expectant faith for my brothers and sisters who are hurting and in need of Your healing touch. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the kingdom of God all around me. Help me to recognize Your presence and Your work in the people I meet, and to be responsive to people I encounter that are in need of prayer.  In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
