Prayer Request from Cleonia: Prayers for a miracle

Dear Michael, Teri and all prayer warriors,
Today I am asking you to pray for a very good friend who is facing inoperable brain cancer. She has lived the last 20 years with several types of Cancer and HIV with FAITH in God that she would live to see her children into adulthood. Her children are grown and God has blessed her with two beautiful grandsons. She told me that she spoke to God and told Him that she is ready to to die. Although she is probably the strongest person I know, I ask for your prayers for her and her family and for me during this most difficult time.

Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your will and know that whatever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.

Watch, O Lord (St. Augustine)

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight,
And give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.

Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.

Rest Your weary ones.

Bless Your dying ones.

Soothe Your suffering ones.

Pity Your afflicted ones.

Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love's sake. Amen.

 

Prayer of Solace

May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the last.
