Prayer Request from Teresa Gunther: Prayers for Marlene, mother of her son-in-law, Joe

Hi Michael & Teri....sending our love and prayers to both of you today.  You are always in our thoughts.

I am here today asking prayers for a family member.   Our son-in-law, Joe, has just told us his mother, Marlene, has been diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer and is not expected to live more than a few weeks.

We are all devastated by this news.  Please ask all our prayer community to send prayers to our God for Marlene and Joe along with his sisters, Mary and Charlene.  Thank all of you for your prayers and support. God bless you .....Teresa Gunther

Prayer for the Sick

Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your will and know that whatever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.

Prayer for Healing

Lord, look upon Marlene with eyes of mercy, may Your healing hand rest upon her, may Your life giving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.

To Saint Peregrine

O great St. Peregrine, You have been called "The Mighty," "The Wonder-Worker," because of the numerous miracles which You have obtained from God for those who have had recourse to You. For so many years You bore in Your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being, and who had recourse to the source of all grace when the power of man could do no more. You were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His Cross to heal Your affliction. Ask of God and Our Lady, the cure of Marlene whom we entrust to You. Aided in this way by Your powerful intercession, we shall sing to God, now and for all eternity, a song of gratitude for His great goodness and mercy. Amen.
