From Dorothy: Prayer list request

This is from our beloved Dorothy of St Agatha & the Choir, and it is a major prayer request about a major issue. Please join me in lifting her intentions to our Heavenly Father with total trust in His will. We know that God knows best in all situations, even when we see neither rhyme nor reason for the things that happen. Thank you for your prayers and God bless you and your families, Teri & Michael (see below)

Dear Michael -

This is a special prayer list request, for my mom (Kate), who continues to recover slowly from her stroke, and also for 205 other stroke/brain stem patients treated at Cedars Sinai.  Last night I found out that 206 patients were accidentally over-radiated during routine CT brain scan tests between Feb 2008 and Aug 2009.  Eight times the normal dose of radiation was administered.  (Cedars is now under investigation – the State of CA is looking into it, as is the FDA).    I found out this morning that my mom was one of the 206.

Please pray that none of the radiation causes cancer or any other type of problems for these patients, and that God helps them heal free from side effects.   (Prayer warriors know that miracle requests are heard!)    Please also pray for their families – and mine – that they will deal with this information in the best possible manner for their loved one. &nb sp; (I am certainly concerned at breaking this news to my family, not all of whom will handle it well).

Somehow I know God had a reason for this happening, and I am convinced it is positive.   It's tough to know why, but I believe and have faith it is so.   Am praying continually for this enlightenment – and all of our prayer requests - knowing my own faith is strengthened daily because of all of you.

Much love,
Dorothy

Even in the face of adversity, we offer this prayer:
Prayer of Praise
Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, he who in his great mercy gave us new birth, a birth unto hope which draws its life from the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; a birth to an imperishable inheritance, incapable of fading or defilement, which is kept in heaven for you who are guarded with God's power through faith; a birth to a salvation which stands ready to be revealed in the last days. Amen.
