from Peter Palasota: Dear Michael, Prayer Request Please

This is from our friend Peter. Please join us in lifting him up in prayer for him to obtain the surgery that he needs and for his healing and recovery. Thank you so much and God bless you and your families, Teri & Michael (see below)

Dear Mike and Teri,

As you know, I have a degenerating disc disease in my neck and have had no luck in getting MediCal insurance doctors to give me the surgery I need. Two years ago I had an MRI that showed I needed surgery then, but UCLA doctors backed out when the economy fell and health care went broke. Just days ago, I got another MRI and the results were staggering, very serious they say, and my GP doctors are looking frantically for any MediCal surgeon willing to give me the surgery in so badly need now. I've been reduced to In Home Care as I can hardly get around anymore, and my condition is worsening rapidly and I could end up bed-ridden and then paralyzed from the neck down pretty soon if the surgery doesn't happen. So I ask your good heart-hearted prayer group once again to pray for me that God will move heaven and earth to open doors for this surgery to take place. May God bless you all for the good works you are doing. Peace of Christ.

In Christ Crucified,

Peter J Palasota

Prayer for the Sick
Omnipotent and eternal God, the everlasting Salvation of those who believe, hear us on behalf of Thy sick servant, Peter, for whom we beg the aid of Thy pitying mercy, that, with his bodily health restored, he may give thanks to Thee in Thy church. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for Doctors and Nurses
O merciful Father, who have wonderfully fashioned man in your own image, and have made his body to be a temple of the Holy Spirit, sanctify, we pray you, our doctors and nurses and all those whom you have called to study and practice the arts of healing the sick and the prevention of disease and pain. Strengthen them in body and soul, and bless their work, that they may give comfort to those for whose salvation your Son became Man, lived on this earth, healed the sick, and suffered and died on the Cross. Amen.
