Prayer Request - Traci Cray-Adams, our daughter

Dear Prayer Warriors,

We found out today that our daughter, Traci, has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism which is not the same as the more common hypothyroidism. "Symptoms are due to an excess of thyroid hormone. Thyroid hormone is important at a cellular level, affecting nearly every type of tissue in the body. Thyroid hormone functions as a controller of the pace of all of the processes in the body." It is complicated to explain but serious as it affects your immune system and metabolism and can create issues with your heart. It is a genetically inherited condition which I (Teri) had to deal with many years ago when I was treated for "Graves Disease" and still have to be monitored for it.  She is on beta blockers for the moment which only treats the symptoms. She will have to have a more permanent solution to correct the problem. I was treated with radiation which is one of her options but we are trying to find some better alternatives.  We pray that her whole system remains stable while we do research to find a better understanding and treatment for this condition. Please keep Traci, her husband and their two small children in your prayers.

O God who are the only source of health and healing, the spirit of calm and the central peace of this universe, grant to Traci such a consciousness of Your indwelling and surrounding presence that she may permit You to give her health and strength and peace, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
