On-going prayer request from Lou Donin for Claire

This is from our buddy Lou. Please let us continue our prayers for Claire as we have before (see previous request below) and may our Lord watch over her and give her strength and healing as He has done. We praise His Holy Name! Hey guys... my east coast cousin, Loni, is asking for some backup... Claire, the 17 yr old cancer patient is due for more procedures this week... and, could use the support of your Prayer Warriors.

Hello, my prayerful friends,

   Thank you for the prayers you have already offered and for all the calls asking about our Claire.

    Here is the latest: She had a detailed CT scan on Friday to look at her lungs, pelvis area, etc. to make sure there were no problems there.  All was clear.  The surgeon who did her original liver surgery has scheduled a biopsy for Thursday, 2/6.  She will go to Hopkins Hospital this Wed. at 3:00P for the prep work, stay overnight and the procedure will take place at 2:00P the next day.  The surgeon and his team hope they can do the biopsy laparoscopically but are not sure if they will get a piece of "it" or the whole thing.  This will be as outpatient.

     We are so hopeful this procedure will save her from a big surgery.  She has come this far with such courage and grace.  Please pray that all will go well for this wonderful young lady who is looking forward to her prom in April, her graduation and senior week in Ocean City.  Let's pray she will be healthy again and can go on with her life.  Thank you all.

This is an update on Claire from Lou Donin. Please pray for Claire that she continues to show by her tests that surgery is not necessary at this time. Praise God! Michael,  it appears we need a little 'booster shot" of prayer... from your Warriors!

"  In my estimation, the prayers seem to be working.  Here is a paraphrase of what the doctor sent last night.  "The mass hasn't grown any - it is not glowing strongly on PET scan, although it does glow a little bit - the AFP is up slightly although still in normal range.  He said, "If the mass had grown massively, glowed brightly or the AFP had skyrocketed, it would be clear-cut that putting Claire through surgery at this time would be worth it.  Her mass did none of those things...Please keep praying for as long as it takes to get her well again. "

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING

O God, of Whose mercies there is no number, and of Whose goodness the treasure is infinite; we render thanks to Your most gracious majesty for the gifts You have bestowed upon us, evermore beseeching Your clemency, that as You grant the petitions of them that ask You, You will never forsake them, but will prepare for the reward to come. Through Christ our Lord.
