Urgent Prayer Request for Linda Maultsby's Dad, Beverly Glenn Smyles

This is from Jaccoma ("Joc") Maultsby. Please join us in our urgent prayers for Beverly ("Bev") Smyles and also our dearest friends Linda & Joc as they continue to care for him with all their abilities. May our Lord Jesus Christ give them strength & courage and may His healing hand touch Bev and give him relief of pain and peace. Hello Michael & Teri,

Please add Linda's dad Beverly("Bev")to the prayer requests. 

He is in Kaiser Cadillac receiving care but it has been discovered today that he has a serious infection in his blood. Although he is on strong antibiotics we understand that it may take up to  48hrs for them to kick in. In his weakened state the doctor tells us that he could pass away suddenly. He is in pain and they are not able to control it due to how weak he is and because of the potential side affects from the pain medicines.

Please pray for him to have the strength to endure and that God be with him at this time.

Prayer for the Sick
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your will and know that whatever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.

Prayer for Healing
Lord, look upon Beverly with eyes of mercy, may Your healing hand rest upon him, may Your life giving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.
