Prayer Request from Shane: More prayers for Áine

This is an update from Shane on Áine. Thank you so much for your prayers and may God bless you and your family, Teri & Michael (see below)

Hi Teri & Michael -

I hope you're both doing well. You may recall past prayer requests for my friend Alex and her little daughter Áine. Áine has Down's Syndrome and has been battling leukemia for the last two years. The good news is that she's beat leukemia and is ready to finally have her chemo port removed. But the bad news is that her compromised immune system has landed her in the hospital with pneumonia from a rare bacterial infection. She won't have her port removed for at least 6 more weeks. She's responding well to medication, and even had a visit from the LA Rams while at the hospital!

Please continue to pray for this brave, strong little girl, her family, and her medical/caregiving team.  Anyone who is interested in reading more details, seeing some great pics, and contributing to their medical fund can go here:

Prayer for Healing

Lord, look upon Áine with eyes of mercy, may Your healing hand rest upon her, may Your life giving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.

PRAYER FOR MIRACLES & HEALING

Heavenly Father, I trust in Your great love for me and all Your people. I ask You to unleash a wave of miracles and healing throughout Your church through the prayers of Your people. Touch the sick and the suffering, and restore them to wholeness and well-being. Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace to pray with expectant faith for my brothers and sisters who are hurting and in need of Your healing touch. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the kingdom of God all around me. Help me to recognize Your presence and Your work in the people I meet, and to be responsive to people I encounter that are in need of prayer.  In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

Hi Michael & Teri - It was great to see you both at Mass yesterday, hope that all is progressing favorably. You're both in my prayers.

I would like to ask our prayer warriors to lift up my friend Alexandria and her family. Their daughter, Aine, is 19 months old and has Down syndrome. They recently took her to the hospital due to a high fever and were shocked to discover that she has leukemia. Aine is now receiving chemotherapy and blood transfusions from her father. Leukemia occurs more frequently in children with Down syndrome, but fortunately they also seem to withstand and recover from the disease at a better rate than others.

Please ask everyone to lift up sweet Aine, Alexandria and her family as they face this challenge together.
