This is from our friend Roxane. Thank you for adding her request to your prayers and God bless you and your families, Teri & Michael (see below)
| Hi Michael & Teri~ I pray this finds you both well. You are such a tremendous blessing to all of us who need a prayer warrior team as mighty as this one is. Thanks, Roxane Smith I am requesting prayer for an entire family of close friends experiencing physical and relational trauma and crises. My dear friend Wendy Cook has suffered from a number of physical challenges, beginning with a stroke at age 29 & now dealing with Cushings disease in her early 50's. Her husband Steve suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm two weeks ago and underwent surgery on April 8th. He is on a ventilator, weaned off of heavy sedatives a few days ago, and woke up briefly yesterday afternoon. He is in that period of coma that is difficult to know when he will return to conciousness. Steve is at UCLA Medical Center. Their son Steven is nineteen and has been unstable for several years and unable to cope with his father's illness. Wendy's older son Tony is the stalwart at this time, though he too is finding it very stressful. Wendy believes that whatever happens, God is working throughout this situation to heal many facets of their family challenges. Please pray that each one will receive God's healing embrace. Thank you so very much, Roxane Smith |
PRAYER FOR THE SICK
Father of goodness and love, hear our prayers for the sick members of our community and for all who are in need. Amid mental and physical suffering may they find consolation in your healing presence. Show your mercy as you close wounds, cure illness, make broken bodies whole and free downcast spirits. May these special people find lasting health and deliverance, and so join us in thanking you for all your gifts. We ask this through the Lord Jesus who healed those who believed. Amen.
