This is from Elson. Praise God and thank you for your prayers. God bless you all, Teri & Michael (see below)
Dear Prayer Warriors:
I played piano again for the choir at St. Eugene's today and I am extremely happy to report that Ms. Kishna Halloway and her daughter, who were attacked by a stray pitbull dog that wandered into the church parking lot a week ago, are doing fine!
Ms. Halloway, her husband and two children were at church today and thanked everyone at the end of the 10 a.m. Mass for their prayers, concern and rescue following last week's ordeal. She suffered multiple bites to her left arm, her legs, back and ear but appeared to be in very good spirits. Save for a bandage on her arm and a slight hobble when she walked, you couldn't tell she was attacked by a vicious dog a week ago. She was taken to Kaiser Hospital West L.A. after the incident and released the same day and only had to follow up with minor surgery to her ear later in the week. All the parishoners, including myself, gave her a standing ovation and showered her with praise and well-wishes after Mass.
Ultimately, she was able to protect her daughter (who is also doing fine and in good spirits herself), who only came out with a few scratches, and the rabies tests came out negative! Most of all, she said she was thankful to be alive. "God IS real!" she exclaimed.
Thanks for all your prayers! God is good (and real)!

Prayer After A Surgery
Blessed Savior, I thank you that this operation is safely past, and now I rest in your abiding presence, relaxing every tension, releasing every care and anxiety, receiving more and more of your healing life into every part of my being. In moments of pain I turn to you for strength, in times of loneliness I feel your loving nearness. Grant that your life and love and joy may flow through me for the healing of others in your name. Amen.
