This is from Sr Karen, St Agatha's, and we thank you for your prayers for the repose of the soul of Justin Carr. Also, please keep his family and friends in your prayers for their comfort and strength after this very shocking and tragic event. Thank you and God bless you and your families, Teri & Michael (see details and L.A Times story below)
Michael, Please send this around to the prayer warriors. He seemed like such a nice young man and as Pamela states, they were very supportive to her during her husbands illness and death. Sr. Karen
Sr Karen, please keep the Carr family in your prayers. They were frequent guests at St Agatha's and were bedrock to me & my family during Michael's passing. We are devastated as are so many teens in Pasadena where he lived. Thanks.![]()
Harvard-Westlake swimmer dies
Jeanne M. Huybrechts, head of Harvard-Westlake, sent an email to parents informing them of Carr's passing."It is with profound sadness that I write to inform you of the tragic loss of our student and a member of HW's 11th grade, Justin Carr. Justin died unexpectedly late this afternoon. It is impossible for me to summarize all that Justin was in just a few sentences. Scholar, athlete, singer, actor, ebullient child, he was an extraordinary young man by any measure."A school assembly has been scheduled for 8 a.m. Monday to mourn his loss."Our thoughts and prayers are with Justin's family, especially his parents, Darrell and Susan," Huybrechts wrote.-- Eric SondheimerIn Loving Memory
Almighty God, through the death of Your Son on the cross, You have overcome death for us. Through his burial
and resurrection from the dead You have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray
for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and
the dead, may those who faithfully believed in You on earth praise You forever in the joy of heaven. We ask this
through Christ our Lord. Amen.
