Prayer Request from Marcus: Prayers for the repose of the soul of my uncle Pete Martinez

Hello Teri and Michael,    Please ask our Prayer Warriors to pray for the repose of the soul of my Uncle   Pete Martinez of Texas City, TX who went to his eternal rest after a long battle   with lung cancer.  He was married to my dad's cousin Lenida (Nia) for a little   over 60 years...he was also one of Rene's and my favorite uncles.  I was hoping   to catch a flight to attend the funeral, but I couldn't find a flight under a   $1,000 due to it being spring break.  Plus, my uncle Pete was known for being   somewhat frugal in matters such as these. He would not have approved of my   "splurging like a prince on a piss-ant's budget" (one of his 'Uncle Pete-isms'),   so I'll go and visit my aunt sometime after Easter. In Loving Memory  Almighty God, through the death of Your Son on the cross, You have overcome  death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead You have made  the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who  died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. Prayer of Solace  May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the  evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and  our work is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy  rest and peace at the last.   Amen.
