Dear Prayer Warriors,
Please bear with us at this time. We are trying to maintain the integrity of receiving and sending of prayer requests but many issues seem to have come upon us all at once. Those primarily consist of my leg problems, a non-functioning laptop and my going back to work at a new job; but I want to try and get back on track with your prayer requests, first and foremost. (More requests will follow immediately.)
Josie Broehm had sent us a request Nov 22, which I did send out to everyone, concerning her friend Jan Richardson and her husband Gary. It is so sad to report that he passed away, and Josie got word on Dec 3rd. Please pray for the repose of Gary's soul, and for Jan and their whole family for strength and peace. Thank you so much and God bless you and yours, Teri & Michael (see below, plus original request)
Dear Michael I requested prayers for Jan Richardson's husband Gary who had been in an induced coma following a stroke following medical procedure. I received word yesterday that Gary went home as Jan and family were with him. Requesting prayers for Jan and her family at this time of loss. Thank you Sent from my iPhone
In Loving Memory Almighty God, through the death of Your Son on the cross, You have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead You have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in You on earth praise You forever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
previous request, Nov 22, 2013:
This is from Josie. Please keep her friend Jan Richardson's husband Gary in your prayers for his healing and recovery, and also his entire family. May our Lord Jesus touch him and deliver him to perfect health, praising God and witnessing to His miracle healing! Thank you and God bless you and your families, Teri & Michael (see below)Dear Michael,I received this communication from Jan Richardson an artist and ordained minister about her husband Gary health concern. She is asking for prayers. I have forwarded this excerpt from her email. I have registered for her online advent retreat that she will continue with now alone due to Gary's medical situation. Thank you for your prayers.Josie
Gary went into the hospital to address a brain aneurysm that had been discovered during the summer (in a fluky way, in the process of checking out something else that proved not to be a problem). We had hoped he would be able to have a less invasive procedure called coiling, but the aneurysm proved too complex, and he was taken into surgery. During an eleven-hour surgery, Gary had a stroke, and has had two additional surgeries to address brain swelling. He has been in a medically induced coma and will be emerging from that over the course of the coming days.We don't yet know the extent of the damage from the stroke. Based on what Gary's remarkable neurosurgeon is telling us, there is cause for great concern and great hope.
Prayer for Healing
Lord, look upon Gary with eyes of mercy, may Your healing hand rest upon him, may Your life giving powers flow into every cell of his body and into the depths of his soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring him to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.
