I received the following prayer request from my high school representative asking our prayers for our classmate Luz Maria. Thank you and our intercessors for your healing prayers for Luz.

PRAYER FOR MIRACLES & HEALING
Heavenly Father, I trust in Your great love for me and all Your people. I ask You to unleash a wave of miracles and healing throughout Your church through the prayers of Your people. Touch the sick and the suffering, and restore them to wholeness and well-being. Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace to pray with expectant faith for my brothers and sisters who are hurting and in need of Your healing touch. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the kingdom of God all around me. Help me to recognize Your presence and Your work in the people I meet, and to be responsive to people I encounter that are in need of prayer. In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
"Dear Sisters, Luz Maria A. Gonzales '62 has been in the hospital since this past Monday. She had a bad reaction to her new medication to fight cancer. She developed a rash all over her body and even inside her mouth. I spoke to her today, sounds a little drained. Her new medication is to help get rid of the rash and ongoing treatment for the cancer. She receives therapy to keep her limbs strong. She must not have any fever or headaches before they let her go home. Eating has been most difficult. Dear Sacred Heart bless your servant Luz and your healing Hand bring her relief. The rash is showing some improvement and the mouth will be the last to clear. Keep Luz in your prayers, she is a fighter and knows that your prayers will get her back home."
