Prayer Request from Shane: praise and prayers

Hi Teri & Michael -

One more update on my dad. He had his surgical biopsy last week and they found a low-grade, noninvasive tumor that had not attached to any muscle tissue. So they removed that and he will need to have his bladder scoped every 3 months to make sure it doesn't come back. No further treatment required... so probably the second best answer we could have hoped for. 

I'd like to also lift up my aunt Rose who will be having a scope on Thursday and surgery to remove her colon cancer on October 30th. After that, assuming all goes well, they will then irradiate her lungs. I know she's tired and would like prayers for my uncle and cousins as well.

Finally, my mother will have a surgery on Oct 31 to straighten out her toes which have been crippled from her rheumatoid arthritis. Hopefully this will improve her mobility and reduce some of the chronic pain that she experiences.

Hi Teri & Michael -

My father had his prostate biopsied and the results came back negative, so praise God for that!

Now he has to have a tumor removed from his bladder, at which point we will learn whether that is cancerous or benign. As he prepares for this surgery he'll need to get a chest X-ray, and I'd like prayers for that routine procedure to come back clean as well because he was a lifelong heavy smoker until only in the last decade. 

I pray the Lord is with you both, thanks so much for praying for us!

O God, of Whose mercies there is no number, and of Whose goodness the treasure is infinite; we render thanks to Your most gracious majesty for the gifts You have bestowed upon us, evermore beseeching Your clemency, that as You grant the petitions of them that ask You, You will never forsake them, but will prepare for the reward to come.
