This is a praise & thanksgiving report from Frank Tobin. Thank you for your continued prayers and God bless & keep you and your families, Michael (see below)
Dear Michael:
Your "Prayer Warriors" may remember the painful tragedy of my nephew and God child Bob Tobin and his wife Marliene and their painful loss of their son Jack Francis Tobin some 18 months ago due to heart problems and organ failure problems some 6 weeks after birth.
As you may recall Jack was the 2nd of their 3 children born with heart problems at birth.
They both knew going into the birth that there would be complications as there were with their 2nd child, Molly, also born with heart problems, who, today, is doing just fine.
Bob reports back with miraculous news in his own words...
God never forgets...
Frank Tobin

A long time ago in a suburb far far away.................
We have been sitting on this news for a while and wanted to get further down th e road before we started talking to people. Given everything we've been through in the past everyone would be asking the obvious questions and we wanted the answers ourselves before people started to ask.
Marliene and I are expecting a baby.
We've known for a while and have been keeping it under wraps (& sweatshirts). The baby is due the second week in September but we're scheduled for the week before. I already tried to lobby Marliene's Doctor for September 9th (09/09/09) but he told us he doesn't work on Wednesday's.
As I said, we wanted to be able to answer the question which would be on people's minds; the baby is healthy. We needed to get to the 20th week so the Cardiologist could see and measure the chambers of the heart. Everything is good.
As you can imagine, the past four and half months have been a pretty anxious time for us. We are relieved and now feel like we can do the things normal expecting parents may take for granted.
Obviously, this is a blessing. We are all very excited and happy to be welcoming this baby. However it is still somewhat bittersweet. Thoughts of Jack are never far away and a new baby presents itself with a wide range of conflicting emotions. Over the Winter it seems we had a lot of fires to try to keep the cold and the darkness out. But now the days are getting longer and the darkness is giving way to light. Anxiety is giving20way to anticipation and where there was fear, there is now hope.
As always, all we can ask for is thoughts and prayers. Please keep Marliene and the baby in your thoughts and prayers over these remaining months and say a prayer of Thanksgiving if you get a chance.
Your Friends,
Bob & Marliene Tobin
