Dear Prayer Warriors,
It is with great sadness that I let you know that my fellow Postal workers, Demetria Dorsey and her husband Kevin, were killed in a car accident last night, as the result of a police chase in Hyde Park at 11:30 p.m. They were traveling on Crenshaw when the suspect being chased on Florence collided with them, turning their vehicle over several times. Kevin was killed instantly and Demetria passed away at the hospital. The suspect is still alive, under guard at the hospital. This is such a terrible tragedy and everyone is still in shock, especially her sister, Deborah Johnson, who works next door to my office at the Postal facility, and the Dorsey's young teenage daughter. They also have other children from previous marriages. Please keep the entire family in your prayers and let us pray for the repose of their souls. May God have mercy on the suspect, whoever he is, and the police who chased him into this horrible accident.

Almighty God, through the death of your Son on the cross, you have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead you have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in you on earth praise you for ever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
