UPDATE/Praise Report: from Carrie Diamond for her nephew, baby Sergio Jr.

This is an update to the recent request for prayers from Carrie Diamond for her nephew Sergio Jr. Praise God! He is doing very well! Thank you for your continued prayers for him and his family. She is also asking for prayers for the 2 yr old who is in the next bed, Joel, who is suffering from a severe beating, apparently from his own father. Sergio Jr is getting mommy in trouble with the nurses and doctors because he won't stay still :-) It's amazing! He is walking and bouncing in his crib The doctors are amazed at how well he is doing. The surgery wasn't as long or serious as expected. And his incision is the length of my pinky. I believe good diet and a lot of strength building before the surgery helped him a lot.

Second prayer request:

 

Good morning Michael. This is not my nephew. This a little boy named Joel. He is in the hospital room with Jr. His father beat him so bad he is blind and both arms and hands are burnt and broken. This is ripping my heart out. Will you add Joel to the prayer warriors list? He just cries in pain and fear of the unknown...imagine 2 years old. The mom called home to say she was working late for 2 hours the dad took it out on him. So sad. The grandma said it happened in Mexico and they brought him here for help.

 

Prayer for the Sick

Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your angels charge over those who sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Please keep baby Sergio Jr. in your prayers. He is our friend Carrie's niece's son, and he should be almost a year old. He is in the hospital having surgery today for his spina bifida condition. May God guide the surgeons and bring him to total recovery and a healthy life, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Prayer Warriors,

This is an update on Sergio Jr., the baby with the hole in his spine. It's called Myelomeningocele and is a birth defect in which the backbone and spinal canal do not close before birth. The condition is a type of spina bifida. He has been sent home but has to be handled with extreme caution. The doctors recommend not to hold him too much. They have to keep his head and spine completely supported. He does have some movement in his legs but only time will tell. Children's Hospital will re-evaluate him at 3 months old.
Please keep the whole family in prayer as God can do anything! God can heal anything!

Prayer for the Sick
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Carrie Diamond has asked us to please pray for her niece, Alissia and her new born baby boy, Sergio, Jr.  This is Alissia's first baby and he was born this week with a hole in his spine. They fear that he will be totally paralyzed. They have taken him to Orange County Children's Hospital.
In Jesus' Name we pray for a miracle healing of this tiny baby. All things are possible with God!
