Prayer Request from Marilee

This is from Marilee. It is so hard to even say that someone has ended their own life but even worse to say that it was your child who was the one. Please keep Marilee's friends Cindi & Richard in your prayers as they have to accept the reality that their son took his own life. We pray for the repose of the soul of Scott and ask for comfort and strength for the entire family. Thank you so much and God bless you, Teri & Michael (see below)

Dear Michael, Teri and Fellow Prayer Warriors,

Blessings to all of you as we start a beautiful new year.

Please lift up our friends Cindi and Richard in prayer as well as their beloved son Scott who sadly took his own life New Year's Eve.  The entire family is devastated over this tragic loss.  I ask that you'll pray that God comfort them and give them strength to carry on as they walk through this most difficult time.

Thank you so very much.  May God bless each and every one of you.

In Christ.

Marilee

In Loving Memory
Almighty God, through the death of Your Son on the cross, You have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead You have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in You on earth praise You forever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer In Time Of Bereavement

Dearest Jesus, who wept at the death of Your friend
and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted,
grant us the comfort of Your presence in our loss.
Send Your Holy Spirit to direct us
lest we make hasty or foolish decisions.
Send Your Spirit to give us courage
lest through fear we recoil from living.
Send Your Spirit to bring us Your peace
lest bitterness, false guilt, or regret take root in our hearts.

The Lord has given.
The Lord has taken away.
Blessed be the name of the Lord.

Amen.

O sweet mother Mary,
who knew the sadness of mourning those Your heart loved most,
Jesus, Your Son,
and Joseph, Your devoted spouse,

pray for us in our time of loss.

Amen.
