Prayer Requests from Marcus: So many prayers...

This is from Marcus, our brother in Christ. Please keep his requests lifted up in your prayers for God's Will to be done, His healing touch be received, and His peace dwell within all those for whom we pray. Thank you so much for your prayers and God bless you and your loved ones, Teri & Michael (see below)

Hello Mike and Teri,

I have quite a few prayers to ask of our Mighty Prayer Warriors.  In addition to family members, there are petitions that have come to me from friends who have witnessed the 'mountain-moving' force of our collective prayers.

Here goes:

My sister RenĂ© - Post her successful double mastectomy, her radiologist oncologist have prescribed 5 weeks of daily radiation.  While my sister is strong and willing to do whatever it takes so that there is no recurrence of the cancer, her reconstruction surgery has now been postponed 6 months.  Prayers that she stays positive and hopeful.

My Parents - That they have strength to continue to endure this challenge and that they do not become disheartened.

My Aunt Delia (80) -  She was recently examined for bladder cancer and thankfully, the results were negative.  She will, however, be undergoing an hysterectomy this Friday to cure her of the unexplained bleeding.

My Aunt Carmen - My dad's sister in Oregon is on a slow mend from a terrible stomach flu which had her hospitalized.  Please pray Godspeed for a full recovery.

Mother of my colleague, Lisa Locke - Lisa's mother, Kathleen, suffers from hoarding and her four daughters have had to seek professional council to guide them with the painful task of supporting their mom through an eviction.

Father of my colleague, Sandra Navarro - Sandra's father, Mr. Romero, is suffering from chronic liver damage brought on by years of drug addiction.  Just now she informed me that he is in a hepatic encephalopathy coma.  Over the past 5 years, Sandra has had to endure the untimely/tragic passings of her grandfather, 2 siblings and her mother (just last year).  While she is a strong believer, she occasionally grows weary from heartache.

Childhood nanny, Celia Gonzalez -
My sister's and my "2nd mother" from our childhood, has been suffering from bad circulation of her right leg.  She's recently complained of more pain.

Maria Lopez, from our parish - Maria and Manuel Lopez are a lovely senior couple from our parish community.  When I saw them at this year's Holy Thursday mass, Maria shared with me that she has been undergoing treatment for stomach cancer.  Her doctors report that she has taken favorably to the treatment she's received thus far.  Both Mr. and Mrs. Lopez thanked me for passing on the prayer request to our Prayer Warriors.

Repose of the soul of Donovan Mejia (5):
My client's nephew lost his battle to cancer last yesterday.  My client, Gloria O'Brien asked that we keep devastated parents, Al and Lori, lifted in prayer.

As always, blessings to you both for all your hard work to keep this very important ministry running.  And our Lord's richest blessings to all our Prayer Warriors who offer their heartfelt intercessions and devotionals for the needs of the body of Christ.

In His Name,

Marcus

PRAYER FOR MIRACLES & HEALING

Heavenly Father, I trust in Your great love for me and all Your people. I ask You to unleash a wave of miracles and healing throughout Your church through the prayers of Your people. Touch the sick and the suffering, and restore them to wholeness and well-being. Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace to pray with expectant faith for my brothers and sisters who are hurting and in need of Your healing touch. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the kingdom of God all around me. Help me to recognize Your presence and Your work in the people I meet, and to be responsive to people I encounter that are in need of prayer.  In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
