Prayer Requrest from Shan Foti: Prayers for Rebecca Brooks

Dear Michael & Teri,

Thank you for your constant comfort for so many.

Please lift up Rebecca Brooks in prayer.  Rebecca is 66.  She has suffered uterine cancer for years.  When modern medicine wasn't working, Rebecca traveled to Brazil where she received the blessing of "John of God".  Unfortunately, Rebecca has fallen ill and is in the hospital where the doctors say the cancer has invaded her liver.  While they are giving her two weeks to live, Rebecca refuses to give up believing in miracles.  She holds her faith strong and remains full of hope.  She wants to return to her favorite Saturday morning class on December 6, the Feast of St. Nicholas.  Her friend asked that we "Lift up Rebecca in prayer so that she may receive the miracle she desires."

Again, your kindness and help are greatly appreciated.

God, Our Father, we pray that through the intercession of St. Nicholas You will allow a miracle healing for Rebecca from the cancer which threatens her life, and allow her a full recovery return to health. Keep her safe from harm and give her strength to keep her Faith in You, Through Jesus Christ Our Lord. Amen.

Loving God, we thank you for
the example of St Nicholas,
who fed the hungry,
brought hope to the imprisoned,
gave comfort to the lost,
and taught the truth to all. 
May we strive to imitate him
by putting you first in all we do. 
Give us the courage, love and strength
of St Nicholas, so that, like him,
we may serve you through loving
our brothers and sisters. Amen.
