UPDATE: Prayer Request from Brenda Chiavarini: Prayers for Darlene

This is from Brenda. Thank you for keeping her requests lifted in prayer, and God bless you and your loved ones, Teri & Michael (see below)

Just came home from the hospital. Darlene's ulcer ruptured making her now have a sepsis infection. She also had to have surgery last night to repair a hole in her intestine.  Her kidney's are not functioning and she has liver damage.  It all sounds so overwhelming, but we serve a God who can do the impossible.  Pray that her kidney's start functioning and that the medicine they give her will clear the infection in her body. Please keep her daughter Lisa in your prayers. They have had a strained relationship and have not talked in four years.  Lisa is Darlene's only known relative.  Lisa is very overwhelmed with finding out what is happening to her mom. Pray that God will heal their relationship as he heals Darlene's body!

Hi Michael and Teri,

I just received a call from the hospital looking for the next of kin for my mother's CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), Darlene. They found my number in her phone and could not find her daughter.  They would not tell me what was wrong with her, but I know she is in the ICU.  It sounds very serious.  I will be going to the hospital tomorrow in hopes of seeing her.  Darlene does not have a lot of family and is in need of lots of prayers.  Please add this request to all your wonderful prayer angels.  

I will keep you posted when I find out what is going on with her.

Prayer for Healing
Lord, look upon Darlene with eyes of mercy, may Your healing hand rest upon her, may Your life giving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.

Prayer for the Sick
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to You in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with Your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in Your hands. We place our sick under Your care and humbly ask that You restore Your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge Your will and know that whatever You do, You do for the love of us. Amen.
