This is from Linda Maultsby. Thank you so much for keeping Marcia and the Lewis family in your prayers for their comfort and strength, and God bless you and your family, Teri & Michael (see below)
Hi Michael, I praise God for having you & Teri, in our lives.
This request comes with a very heavy heart. Miss Shirley Lewis was rear ended this morning in a car accident. She suffered a heart attack and is no longer with us.
We ask for your prayers for Marcia & her brother Chris Lewis and family, also for the repose of the soul of Miss Shirley Lewis.
May they all be comforted with peace that only our Lord can bring.
Thank You.
Much Love Linda Maultsby
In Loving Memory
Almighty God, through the death of Your Son on the cross, You have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead You have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in You on earth praise You forever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.Prayer In Time Of Bereavement
Dearest Jesus, who wept at the death of Your friend and taught that they who mourn shall be comforted, grant us the comfort of Your presence in our loss. Send Your Holy Spirit to direct us lest we make hasty or foolish decisions. Send Your Spirit to give us courage lest through fear we recoil from living. Send Your Spirit to bring us Your peace lest bitterness, false guilt, or regret take root in our hearts. The Lord has given. The Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord. O sweet mother Mary, who knew the sadness of mourning those your heart loved most, Jesus, your Son, and Joseph, your devoted spouse, pray for us in our time of loss. Amen.
A Plea for Divine Help
Hear us, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, and graciously send your holy angel from heaven to watch over, to protect, to comfort and to give strength to Marcia Lewis and all her family now and always, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
