Prayer Request from Shan Foti: Prayers for Nina

Dear Teri and Michael,

I hope Teri's pain is waning from her fall this week. 

I just received an update from my dear friend Carmine Salvucci whom I met at St. Agatha's 19 years ago. In late February, Carmine left his TX home for his childhood home in MA to be with his siblings and family as they gather around their mother Nina who is 90. She's been struggling with her health. Carmine sent an update today stating, 

"She is home, resting as comfortably as possible, still enjoying the occasional cigarette and holding court for the variety of visitors parading through. She is finding it increasingly difficult to get comfortable and sleep solidly.  She is significantly weaker than when I arrived. But as I have said before, she calls herself a tough broad, and I am just not sure when she will decide it is her time. Thanks for your continued prayers for her and our family." 

I ask that our Prayer Warriors hold Carmine, Nina and all who love them in their intentions. May they be free from pain and find greater comfort.  Thank you.

Prayer for Healing

Lord, look upon Nina with eyes of mercy, may Your healing hand rest upon her, may Your life giving powers flow into every cell of her body and into the depths of her soul, cleansing, purifying, restoring her to wholeness and strength for service in Your Kingdom. Amen.

PRAYER FOR MIRACLES & HEALING

Heavenly Father, I trust in Your great love for me and all Your people. I ask You to unleash a wave of miracles and healing throughout Your church through the prayers of Your people. Touch the sick and the suffering, and restore them to wholeness and well-being. Lord Jesus, I ask for the grace to pray with expectant faith for my brothers and sisters who are hurting and in need of Your healing touch. Holy Spirit, open my eyes to see the kingdom of God all around me. Help me to recognize Your presence and Your work in the people I meet, and to be responsive to people I encounter that are in need of prayer.  In the Name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
