Praise Report and Update for Kenia Corral

Dear Prayer Warriors,

 

For those of you who remember the courageous teenage girl, Kenia Corral, for whom we were praying for her successful extensive & radical surgery to straighten her legs, there is fantastic news! Last week the doctors removed every apparatus and metal device from around her newly corrected legs, ankles and feet, and she was able to return to school yesterday for the first time since her operation! That is SO Awesome and Miraculous! Praise God! Praise Jesus! She is still in her wheelchair but has been given the green light to try standing and walking! She is soon to be starting physical therapy and is on such a fast track to recovery that it must be making her doctors' heads swim. Again, All Praises be to God! Thank you Jesus, thank You Jesus!

 

And we thank you all for your continued prayers for her complete and total recovery and testimony to the power of prayer and the Holy Spirit in cooperation with His will and Kenia's incredible determination and strong will to overcome her challenges. God is so Good!

O God, of Whose mercies there is no number, and of Whose goodness the treasure is infinite; we render thanks to Your most gracious majesty for the gifts You have bestowed upon us, evermore beseeching Your clemency, that as You grant the petitions of them that ask You, You will never forsake them, but will prepare them for the reward to come. Hi Prayer Warriors,

We spoke with Ethel today and found out that Kenia's surgery was very successful but also very extensive, as expected. She is doing well with very little pain as we prayed for. Please continue to keep her and her family in your prayers as she goes through her challenging rehabilitation. They had some trouble getting the medical equipment that she needed to aid in her recovery but God is Good and today she was blessed with some of these necessary things.

Thank you Lord for keeping Kenia out of pain and thank You for blessing her with Your perfect healing of her legs. We pray in Jesus Name, Amen

Prayer of Praise
Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, he who in his great mercy gave us new birth, a birth unto hope which draws its life from the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; a birth to an imperishable inheritance, incapable of fading or defilement, which is kept in heaven for you who are guarded with God's power through faith; a birth to a salvation which stands ready to be revealed in the last days. Dear Prayer Warriors,

Ethel Guntharp has asked that we pray for a young dear friend; a 17 year old girl, Kenia Corral, who will be undergoing extensive leg and ankle surgery this coming Monday. Her father and uncle have been Ethel's right hand men, heading up her team of workers for years along with also being good friends. 

Kenia, since birth, has been suffering from a deformity in her legs that the doctors could not fix until she was older; when her bones were more mature. She has not been able to walk easily all these years and has been afraid of having the surgery. The surgical procedure will be incredibly painful involving both her calves; cutting tendons, muscle and ligaments; and breaking both ankles in the efforts to correct the deformities. Her rehabilitation will be approximately 6 months...an incredibly long time for a teenager. Children's Hospital flew in specialists to perform this operation on Kenia. The success of this surgery will give her a more normal teenage life as she approaches her high school graduation this year.

We pray that God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit will be the "Specialists" in the operating room on Monday morning. We ask Our Lord to please relieve Kenia of all her worries and anxieties. We ask him to take away all the pain associated with this surgery and provide Kenia with a speedy recovery and perfect legs.

Prayer Before Surgery
Loving Father, we entrust Kenia to Your care on Monday; guide with wisdom and skill the minds and hands of the medical people who minister in Your Name, and grant that every cause of illness be removed, she may be restored to soundness of health and live in perfect harmony with You and with those around her. Through Jesus Christ. Amen.
