Dear Michael,
God is good all the time. And all the time God is good.
These words are more important than ever today, as with a heavy heart I type this note – Jim Knecht, our beloved "brother," had a massive stroke sometime today, and is now being taken off all machines. We don't know much, other than that they are disconnecting everything, and that it will be a matter of days, if not sooner.
Thank you to all the special Prayer Warriors who have been lifting up prayers for so long for Jim – may all of our prayers now accompany his soul up to heaven. Please keep also his family in your special prayers, especially his parents, who are grieving burying their beloved son, and his daughter, who is due to get married in six weeks. All of them will need prayers for healing, as his soul heads up to heaven.
I know the prayers will comfort and heal, and I know that Jim will soon be at peace with all the angels.

May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the last.

A Plea for Divine Help
Hear us, Lord, holy Father, almighty and eternal God, and graciously send your holy angel from heaven to watch over, to cherish, to protect, to abide with, and to defend all who dwell in this house, Through Christ our Lord. Amen
