Dear Mike, Teri and our Mighty Prayer Warriors!
Today my dad received a blessing that touched him so deeply, it brought him to tears. Our family doctor of over 40 years recently referred him to a specialist regarding his chronic leg pain which frequently causes him to have trouble getting around. It turns out that what my father (and various other 'specialists') thought was nerve damage from his bout with the shingles in 2007, is actually a varicose vein/circulation issue that can be easily treated by an outpatient procedure!
Pops is scheduled for this operation on the 10th of September...just 4 days after he receives his First Holy Communion (September 6th). Yep, that's happening too! God is GOOD.
Our family remains in prayerful solidarity (and gratitude) with our Mighty Prayer Warrior family as well as all our brothers and sisters in Christ.

Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, he who in his great mercy gave us new birth, a birth unto hope which draws its life from the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead; a birth to an imperishable inheritance, incapable of fading or defilement, which is kept in heaven for You who are guarded with God's power through faith; a birth to a salvation which stands ready to be revealed in the last days.
