My name is Chanel Van Os and my son'sname is Juwan. He is 2yrs9months. He was diagnosed with histiocytosis more thata year ago. He has the worst kind called Letterer-Siwe. It is very rare andfor that reason he was misdiagnosed for a year. It was only when he went intoorgan failure that the doctors realized there is something wrong. His heart, liver and spleen was failing, he couldn't walk because the disease causeslesions in bones which makes it to painfull to walk. He had a rash that lefthis skin a bloody mess, it was to painfull to pick him up and hold him. Theoncologist started him on chemo. Unfortunately he didn't respond as theythought. He got better but the cells in his bonemarrow didn't clear up.They then said there was no hope. I found a doctor in Texas(we live in SouthAfrica)which took over treatment by email. He suggested very high doses ofchemo. Juwan was in hospital for 3months in isolation. The chemo made him sosick and his bonemarrow stopped working. He no longer made blood. He got transfusionon transfusion. His platelets were so low that he bled under his skin. He wason morphine because his pain was unbearable. The Monday his liver was failingand he was jaundiced then two days later he had normal liver function. God isawesome! His bonemarrow was clean and went on maintenance chemo. 6weeks laterhe relapsed with bumps on his head. The bonemarrow result was no longer cleanand the disease back. I was devasted! How can God heal Juwan and change Hismind! Now they want to do a bonemarrow transplant! The oncologist explainedthat he will not heal without it. The preparation means toxic chemo to kill allbloodcells and marrow and then do transplant if he makes it through chemo. Itis a awfull painfull treatment with no guarantee it will work. The amount isfenominal and I am a single mom. It's not money that you get even throughbank loan. Juwan is a child of God, who has been saved over and over. He justneeds the miracle of healing. He is almost 3 and thinks the hospital is hishome. He says pictures of children and ask if they don't want to playwith him. I am scared and so sad for him. He needs prayers so that God willfind it in His heart to heal him and give him a chance to play and go to schooland do great things for God one day.! We will never keep quiet about whatGod has done for us.
