Prayer request for Guy Holloman

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Please keep Guy Holloman in your prayers. He is a long time St. Agatha parishioner who usually attends the 10 a.m. Mass with his family but has been in the V.A. hospital for the past four weeks with many ongoing complications. Initially he had a heart attack, and since has had problems caused by arthitis and osteoporosis, and trouble swallowing to the point where they had to insert a feeding tube. He also suffers from Leukemia, further complicating his healing. Please pray that all the procedures and treatments provided to Guy are successful and also that his Social worker is able to obtain placement for him in a facility in which his V.A. benefits and Medicaid can be applied. He needs constant care which can only be supplied by a skilled nursing facility or similar establishment, and that is also a financial burden on top of everything else.

The Holloman family wishes to express their gratitude for all the prayers, visitations and well wishes for Guy and family at this time. Thank you all for your prayers and may God bless you and your families.

In Christ,
Teri & Michael

Prayer for the Sick
Dear Jesus, Divine Physician and Healer of the sick, we turn to you in this time of illness. O dearest comforter of the troubled, alleviate our worry and sorrow with your gentle love, and grant us the grace and strength to accept this burden. Dear God, we place our worries in your hands. We place our sick under your care and humbly ask that you restore your servant to health again. Above all, grant us the grace to acknowledge your will and know that whatever you do, you do for the love of us. Amen.

Psalm 103:1-5
"Bless the LORD, O my soul,
And all that is within me, bless His holy name.
Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget none of His benefits;
Who pardons all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases;
Who redeems your life from the pit, who crowns you with loving kindness and compassion;
Who satisfies your years with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle."
