Prayer Request for Deacon & Doctor Jim Fitzgerald; Rest In Peace

This is from Bernie Hamilton, and it is very difficult and heartbreaking to pass on the news that our St. Agatha Deacon, Jim Fitzgerald, has passed away. Bernie had sent a prayer request a few hours ago which we had not yet sent out when we received this. Thank you so much for your prayers for the repose of the soul of Deacon / Doctor Jim Fitzgerald, and for his family and loved ones for their strength and comfort, and God bless you and your families. (see below, and below that, the original request)

Dear Teri & Michael

It is with deep sadness and regret that I write to inform you that our friend Jim Fitzgerald has passed away earlier this evening.
May God be with Jim, Joyce and their family!
Peace
Bernie

In Loving Memory
Almighty God, through the death of Your Son on the cross, You have overcome death for us. Through his burial and resurrection from the dead You have made the grave a holy place and restored us to eternal life. We pray for those who died believing in Jesus and are buried with him in the hope of rising again. God of the living and the dead, may those who faithfully believed in You on earth praise You forever in the joy of heaven. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer of Solace
May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the last.
Amen.

Subject: Deacon Jim Fitzgerald is very ill & needs our Prayers

Dear Teri & Michael
I am writing to ask your help in notifying the Prayer Warriors that Deacon and Medical Doctor Jim Fitzgerald is in need of lots of prayers from  the Prayer Warriors and all the St Agatha's Family!

Jim  is in intensive care in the hospital being treated for multiple critical problems. His condition is very serious and his family are gathering to be with him and Joyce during this critical time. We at St Agatha's all know and love Jim for his warm personality, good humor, caring nature, medical skill, good deeds, serving as Deacon for the 10 o'clock Mass and much more.On several occasions he has provided immediate emergency assistance to parishioners who have fainted, suffered strokes or other health problems.
Now it is our term to help Jim regain his health through our prayers.

Many Thanks to you and Teri, all the Prayer Warriors for the great love & blessings you give to help people!

Bernie Hamilton
