Hello Michael & Teri,
A long time dear friend of mine gave me call the other night and asked me to have my 'Prayer Team' pray for his father. His name is Harvey, he's 89 and he's dying from cancer. He's in a hospice right now and they're just trying to make him comfortable. What he's been saying though is pretty amazing. He keeps talking about THE MAN. That he's going to be getting all new clothes and will be able to walk again.
He also said the picture of Jesus that's in the room, "doesn't look anything like him. They need a new photo, he doesn't have blue eyes!"
Gene (my friend) has said, "for anyone who doesn't believe, they should spend a few moments with my dad, he'll convince you that he's going to a better place!" Gene's asking us to pray for his father's comfort and peace.
Thank you...LInda
Prayer of Solace
May Christ support us all the day long, till the shadows lengthen, and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over and our work is done. Then in his mercy may he give us a safe lodging, and holy rest and peace at the last.
Amen.
